Biography

Brian Bennett, born on November 10, 2003, is a Zimbabwean all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm off-break. He first came to prominence through his performances at the 2022 Under-19 World Cup, where he represented Zimbabwe alongside his twin brother. Brian finished as the highest run-scorer for Zimbabwe in the tournament, and his impressive showing paved the way for him to enter the domestic cricket scene.

He made his first-class debut for the Mountaineers during the 2022–23 Logan Cup in December 2022. Shortly after his first-class debut, Bennett made his T20 debut in February 2023, scoring 41 runs off 22 balls. Later in the year, he earned his senior T20I cap against Ireland. After showcasing promise both domestically and in the T20I format, Bennett was called up to the Test squad in July 2024. A few months later, he went on to make his ODI debut.
