Son of a shoe merchant, Love Ablish plays for Punjab in domestic cricket. He has also played in the rebel league. He was the third highest wicket-taker in the Ranji Super League of 2009-10 with 36 wickets at an average of 23.88. He enjoys taking the batsmen by surprise with his slower ball and in-swinger.

In the previous seasons of the IPL he got the opportunity to rub shoulders with Aussie pacer Brett Lee and Indian swing bowler Irfan Pathan. In 2011, he was signed by the Kings XI Punjab for the fourth season of the IPL.
