Biography

A right-arm fast bowler, Abul Hasan made his maiden first-class appearance for Sylhet Division in 2008 against Khulna. Also a part of Bangladesh's Under-19 squad, he impressed with a couple of five-wicket hauls in one-dayers against Pakistan and Zimbabwe in 2009.

The youngster was also a part of the squad for the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Ireland in 2012 and was subsequently included in the T20I squad for the World T20 later that year. Hasan was called up for the Test series against West Indies in the same year as a pace option. He had a memorable Test debut, coming in at number 10 and scoring a gritty maiden ton, a feat achieved last in 1902 by Australia's Reggie Duff.
