Harvik Desai, born on October 4, 1999, is a promising emerging Indian cricketer. He attributes as a wicket-keeper batter who hails from Bhavnagar, Gujarat. He made his List A debut for Saurashtra in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. The Saurashtra-born cricketer has established himself as a formidable presence in the domestic circuit, having played over 100 matches and accumulated more than 4,000 runs, including 29 half-centuries and 10 centuries to his name already at this very age.
At just 25, he rose to prominence during India's victorious 2018 U-19 World Cup campaign, where he impressed with 157 runs from four innings, averaging an outstanding 78.50. Known for his ability to anchor an innings and rotate the strike with ease, he is a valuable addition to any team, bringing composure and consistency to the middle order. Harvik was also named as the replacement in place of the injured Vishnu Vinod for the Mumbai franchise in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League.
